Teams

The Biblical design includes five functions: Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship, Ministry / Missions, and Fellowship. The focus of the support targets the five functions of the church and thus the team structure of Sarepta reflects that commitment.

Worship Team

This team will focus on coordinating the music area of the association. In addition to that, this team will oversee the emphasis on prayer related throughout Sarepta. One of the developing areas in many of our churches is the use of media in worship. This team will assist our churches as it relates to how to use media effectively.

Evangelism Team

The need to keep evangelism at the forefront of our ministry is the task of this team. The goal of this team would be to provide the support for ministries that have an evangelism focus. In addition to that, provide opportunities for training for our churches in the area of evangelistic outreach. Also, there is a need to periodically provide evangelism events to reach out to the Sarepta region.

Discipleship Team

Studies have consistently shown that discipleship in our churches is almost nonexistent. The need for assistance in this area is paramount in importance. Thus this team will provide the direction needed to under gird our churches in this vital area. There are existing ministries that function as discipleship arms of Sarepta. The task of this team would be to assist our churches to design and develop the discipleship component in their local church.

Ministry / Missions Team

Probably more than any other area, this team serves to coordinate the many ministries and missions efforts of Sarepta. The challenge is an ever growing one to reach out to people with an international background. The need to touch the lives of ethnic groups throughout Sarepta is ever expanding. Responding to the needs of the victims of disasters is a vital part of the ministry focus of Sarepta. Meeting the needs of those who travel I-85 as truckers provides us with a mobile mission field and Sarepta provides a ministry to those people.

Fellowship Team

Ministry can be a lonely experience. The objective here is to provide opportunities for relationships to be built among pastors, staff, and their spouses. There are weekly events that provide such opportunities along with special events that encourage the building of relationships. The primary task here is to strengthen each other through mutual spiritual support and prayer for each other.
